Typically sold at ~6″ and reaches 24″ over ~2 years. Plan tank size for the adult, not the fish at purchase.

Diet

Frozen krill, silversides, squid, large mysis (no live feeders)

Notes

Hardiest of the marine eels — cream body with brown rosette markings. Surprisingly peaceful but will eat any crustacean (shrimp, crabs, lobsters) and small fish. Eats meaty foods only — no live feeders, no flakes. Houdini-grade escape artist; needs a covered tank.
